What blog?

I don’t kid myself to think I have any kind of audience, but anyone who stumbles into this site might wonder at the… 16 months since my last blog post, and the grand total of like 12 words published here.

My day job involves being on a computer all day and at the then of the shift, I’m not eager to be on a screen, especially not in a ‘productive’ way. Also, my day job is very strict about not doing any personal work on the clock, so I’m not doing anything for this site during business hours – not even drafting post ideas in email. There’s a hard line between the two.

Anyway, this all means that I don’t use this as much as I could, and only occasionally get energized by the idea of doing something with it. The current burst of inspiration comes from the Hugo awards voters packet. One of the novels is only offered as an excerpt (rather than full download) through the Hugos site, but it does include a link to get a copy through NetGalley. NetGalley registration wants to know where you publish reviews… so I had to say I publish here… so I suppose I oughta do that. I’ve created a page where I’ll aggregate My Reviews.
